Thank you for checking out my new website! I am so excited for you to join me in my journey, by enjoying the interviews, concert updates, photo shoots and by following my hectic crazy life! A little about me:- I started my career in radio when I was 15; a sophomore in high school. - I love music! I listen to it every chance I can. Right now my headphones are on listening to Daughtry’s latest CD. Song: Long Live Rock & Roll, singing to it too… (No you will not hear me sing)
-My other favorite artists include Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Nickelback, Saving Abel, Hinder, 3 Doors Down, Mark Ballas, Usher, Bruno Mars, Inna, The Fray, Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, Justin Timberlake just to name a few.
- A lot of people ask who my favorite celebrity interview was… It’s hard to choose. I love every interview I’ve conducted. A few of my favorite memories include: My first celebrity interview when I was 15 years old with Lucas Prata. He has been a long time supporter who is always ready to exchange ideas and provide advice. Ace Young & I always have a great time when we are on-air or just hanging out. His fans are incredibly dedicated and supportive! When I was visiting Ace during his performance in Grease, I was recognized for the first time by fans. It was an amazing experience.
Another great memory is when I interviewed my friend, former NY Knick Quentin Richardson after basketball practice one afternoon. NBC was also there and sports anchor Bruce Beck interviewed us both for Channel 4 news that night. Bruce has been my friend and mentor ever since. Shortly after, at a Knicks’s game, I met Al Trautwig and appeared on MSG Knicks pregame show. NY Times also wrote an article on my friendship with Quentin.
Some secrets of some past interviews… Many people think I sit in a designated quiet room with an artist and interview them. That’s not always the case. Actually, that’s usually not the case at all. Usually I arrive and management/publicity, the artist and I are all scrambling to find a quiet spot to sit down and talk. During the interview with Ryan Cabrera, it was so loud in the venue we couldn’t hear each other talk. We ended up going outside on the street with cars flying by, people beeping and fireworks started going off and lighting up the sky. LOL, Yes that was definitely a first! I will find the audio and post it so you can hear.
Another secret… When I attended the American Idol tour press day, we were in 1 big room and had 3 minutes to interview each of the idols that were present. I was the first person that day to interview Adam Lambert. Our watches must have been broken because we talked and laughed til the the tour manager came over and moved us along. What a super nice guy!
In my 9 years on the radio, I have had the opportunity to meet some awesome talented people and watch their careers take off! There is nothing like meeting someone and following their career from making music in their home studio to performing at sold out shows and touring with international recording artists and music legends. I am so excited about my new venture and look forward to sharing this all with you.
Things I’m currently working on: Awesome new interviews for all of you to hear, pictures and stories about the concerts and venues I visit, and a list of my favorite products and reviews. I’ll be posting a video blog soon and revealing bits about my life, the amazing people who have influenced my career and “spotlight” those who allow me into their lives for that brief moment. There are so many exciting opportunities to come–beginning with the debut of my first PODCAST show featuring my good friend Ace Young! I am sure you will love it!!!
