The concert season continues at Bethel Woods with a SOLD OUT Florida Georgia Line concert. Rapper Nelly opened for them, as well as upcoming Country Music artists Chris Lane and Ryan Hurd. For everyone who likes Country music, Ryan Hurd and Chris Lane are definitely going to be big names in the industry! They both got the crowed amped up for Nelly and Florida Georgia Line.
Growing up, I used to be a fan of Nelly's, so I was excited to see him perform. I wasn't sure how or why he would choose to tour with a Country band being that he is a rapper. But when he came on stage, the crowd went CRAZY!!!! During Nelly's performance he explained how the industry is always changing and now music genre's are crossing over with each other. It's a very cool thing! I think it opens up fans ears to different music you may not have otherwise listened to. Nelly performed all his hits from "back in the day", back in the day I mean, back in the late 90's early 2000's. He performed "Airforce 1", "Dilemma", "EI", "Shake Ya Tailfeather", "Country Grammer", "Over and Over" and of course... "Hot In Here". He talked about how the industry was back in the day and how thankful he is to all his fans, because if it wasn't for his fans he wouldn't be standing on "Holy ground" aka Woodstock that day. He invited 2 fans up on stage with him to sing, a 13 year old girl and another girl probably in her 20's. It was really cool to see him interact with fans, and throughout the concert he was taking fans cell phones and taking pictures of himself performing and videoing his own performance.
Florida Georgia Line came on after Nelly, and the crowd went wild! The duo performed their hit songs Anything Goes, Round Here, Smooth, H.O.L.Y. and many others. It was a great time!
