Miranda Lambert

Last night was the first of 23 concerts this summer at Bethel Woods aka Woodstock.  Country music artist Miranda Lambert kicked off the season at Bethel with her "Keeper Of The Flame" Tour!  It was great to be back at Bethel this year.  Bethel is located in upstate NY about an hour away from NY City.  It is a beautiful venue.  The grounds on Bethel are just breathtaking.  It is really peaceful up there.

The show started promptly at 7:30pm.  Opening for Miranda was Brothers Osborne, I was not familiar with them but they were definitely a good band, very entertaining and totally got the crowd ready for Kip Moore and Miranda Lambert.

Kip Moore came on stage around 8:15pm and all I thought to myself was WOW! He is SEXY!!  He came out on stage in a sleeveless shirt with jeans, hat backwards and fit as ever!  He definitely works out!  All the ladies in the house went crazy... My favorite songs he performed were "Running For You", "Backseat", "Hey Pretty Girl", a cover of Jimmy Eat World song "The Middle" and Ben E. King's song "Stand By Me".  During his performance he went through the crowd all the way up to the lawn section and sang to fans which was pretty awesome!  Not many performers these days go through the crowds anymore and sing so it's always a nice treat to fans when they do.  Before leaving the stage at the end of his set he announced that after the show he would be signing autographs for every fan after Miranda's set.  He really is a humble guy! Much success to him!!

Miranda came on stage around 9:30pm, looking gorgeous as always! She talked about how nervous she was to perform at Bethel because of how many icons have performed there and she was so happy to be able to be on stage there.  In between songs she talked with the crowd and at one point she dedicated her song "Over You" to a mother she met at the meet & greet before the show who lost her 2 year old son.  She said how everyone in the room was crying when the mom was telling her story and as Miranda was telling everyone what happened she started to cry.  What a special tribute to her fan and son!  My favorite songs she performed last night were "All Kinds Of Kinds", "Over You", "The House That Built Me", and "Mississippi Queen".

If Miranda is coming to a town near you, I highly suggest you purchase tickets.  She definitely kicked off Bethel's Summer Concert Series with a bang!!!

Stay tuned for my next concert review.
