I grew up listening to Dolly Parton... I remember always listening to her tapes whenever I was in my mom's car and we would both sing along. Dolly doesn't tour frequently... In fact it has been over 25 years since she embarked on a US tour. When I heard she was on tour and coming to the area, (Mohegan Sun in Wilkes-Barre, PA) I just knew I had to get tickets... We were 10 rows from the stage! Her stage set was so simple and elegant. It was great! She performed her number 1 classic hits "Jolene" "Coat of Many Colors" and some new music... She talked a lot about her family; especially her mama... Growing up with 11 siblings and not having a lot of money. Her tour was called "Pure and Simple" and that it was... She had 2 different outfits, both with tons of sparkles! Her instruments even had sparkles/rhinestones too!!! She is diverse when it comes to instruments... She played guitar, saxophone, flute, harmonica, the banjo and may other instruments during the show. For 70 years old, she still has it going on!!
